Sensei Teaching Youth Karate Class
Welcome to the home of Franklin County Jujutsu (also spelt Jujitsu). We are a martial art focused on traditional jujutsu. We are located in the Erving, MA 01344 Recreation Center on 18 Pleasant Street, Erving, MA 01344.
Jujutsu of Franklin County welcomes all and wants everybody to have a safe, fun, and practical environment. All newcomers can try out one class for free.
Children’s Class: This class focuses on ukeme, where children ages 5-12 learn the basics of rolling safely and break falls. They learn more about how their bodies move and how to harness their body’s momentum to use against an opponent. Older children can learn self defense techniques.
$30 a month per child, with a family discount of $10 off subsequent relatives. (For example, the first family member is $30, the second, third, etc. are $20).
Classes are Tuesday and Thursday, 6:00pm to 6:30pm. Parents must be available throughout the duration.
Adult Class: This class is for children and adults 13+. Students learn many dynamic throws, kata, weapons (such as bo, jo, tonfa, sai, kama, and more), as well as self defense applications for situations involving knives, sticks/clubs, guns, chokes, etc.
$60 a month per adult, with a family discount of $10 off subsequent relatives. (For example, the first family member is $60, the second, third, etc. are $50). Classes are Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30p, to 8:00pm.
