The Recreation Commission is creating a pool of people willingto work part-time positions related to team sports and specialevents, including:• Soccer/Basketball referees• Basketball timekeepers/scorekeepers• Special Event staff to help set/clean up and assist withfamily/children activitiesMembers of this pool will be contacted to staff these on-callpositions as needed. Heaviest staffing times are fall and wintermonths, especially during sports seasons. Most sports gamestake place on Saturday AMs. Special events currently includeour September Fall Festival, October Halloween Extravaganza,December Meet Santa, and April/May Egg Hunt events.• Reliability, promptness, flexibility and weekendavailability are a plus.• Positions are non-benefitted. Compensation is hourly,starting at minimum wage (currently $15.50/hr).Referees must have experience playing or coaching youth in thesport and be willing to learn/abide by youth league regulations.Referee work is compensated at $30 per game (1.5 hours pergame).
